Creating an evidence pack for renewable electricity generation

March 2026·5 min read

Evidence packs aren't a single document — they're a structured collection of metered data, allocation rules and carbon outputs that an auditor can follow end-to-end.

What an evidence pack should contain

  • Period generation, self-consumption and export at the meter
  • Allocation rules and the contractual basis for each
  • DEFRA factors applied and method used (location-based / market-based)
  • Resulting Scope 2 reductions per consumer
  • Performance Ratio and any underperformance notes
  • Audit log: data source, timestamp, system version

Reporting generates evidence packs to a consistent template for every site and period, so the same pack can be reused across SECR, NZCBS, investor and tenant reporting cycles.
